Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Platero AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. "Platero AI" refers to the service operated at platero.ai and the associated application.

2. Service Description

Platero AI is an AI-powered Google review response service for restaurants. The Service:

  • Connects to your Google Business Profile via Google OAuth
  • Generates AI-powered responses to your customer reviews
  • Allows you to review, edit, and approve responses before publishing
  • Publishes approved responses directly to your Google Business Profile
  • Optionally auto-publishes responses if you enable that setting

3. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
  • You must provide accurate and complete account information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
  • One person or legal entity per account, unless multi-location plans are available
  • You must have the authority to connect the Google Business Profile you link to the Service

4. Google Business Profile Authorization

By connecting your Google Business Profile to Platero AI, you authorize us to access your business reviews and publish responses on your behalf. You represent and warrant that you have the authority to grant this access. You remain responsible for all content published through your Google Business Profile, whether drafted by AI or written manually. You can revoke this authorization at any time through your Google Account settings or by disconnecting within the Platero AI dashboard.

5. Free Trial and Billing

  • New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with no credit card required
  • After the trial, the Service costs $29 per month per location
  • Payments are billed monthly and processed through Stripe
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. The Service remains active until the end of your current billing period
  • No refunds are issued for partial months
  • We may change pricing with at least 30 days advance notice via email

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Violate Google's Business Profile policies or terms of service
  • Publish responses that are defamatory, harassing, threatening, or misleading
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the Service
  • Use the Service to spam or abuse Google's platform
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Use the Service for businesses you do not own or have authorization to manage

7. AI-Generated Content

Responses generated by the Service are AI-powered suggestions. You should be aware that:

  • AI-generated responses are provided as drafts for your review
  • You are responsible for reviewing all responses before approving them for publication
  • If you enable auto-publish, you accept responsibility for content published without manual review
  • Platero AI does not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or effectiveness of AI-generated content
  • You accept full responsibility for all content published through your Google Business Profile via the Service

8. Intellectual Property

Platero AI owns all rights to the Service, its technology, brand, and proprietary systems. You retain ownership of your business data and Google reviews. AI-generated responses, once published, are associated with your Google Business Profile. You grant Platero AI a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide and improve the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Platero AI is not liable for:

  • Actions taken by Google on your Business Profile
  • The accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated responses
  • Business losses, lost revenue, or reputational damage resulting from published responses
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or data loss
  • Changes to Google's APIs, policies, or platform availability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platero AI's total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Platero AI, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, content published through your Google Business Profile via the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings
  • We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable
  • Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases and your data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • Sections relating to liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Severability

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
